Pacific Halibut Fishing in Sooke
The ultimate deep-water prize of the Juan de Fuca Strait. Halibut fishing is a technical offshore pursuit, requiring heavy tackle, precise timing, and experienced captains who know how to position over deep structure.

Chinook (King) Salmon Fishing in Sooke
Chinook salmon are the hardest-fighting fish on the West Coast — and Sooke is one of the best places on Vancouver Island to target them. We fish kelp beds, drop-offs, and tide lines to intercept migrating and resident fish.

Winter Chinook
Known locally as Feeder Kings, these resident Chinook actively feed through the colder months, offering consistent action when the summer crowds have gone.
Dungeness Crab
A perfect winter add-on. When conditions and regulations allow, crab traps can be set during the trip and hauled later for a proper West Coast harvest.
Comfortable Winter Runs
With enclosed cabins, heated shelter, and quieter waters, winter trips are ideal for guests who want a more relaxed day without sacrificing the fishing experience.

Captain Cedric was great! He knows his stuff and we got into an incredible amount of fish! Two days of fishing and he did not disappoint I highly recommend him and king tide.
I took my family (wife, mom, and both adult brothers) on a family road trip vacation from Oregon to Victoria B.C. and fished with KingTide Charters. We had Shane as our guide and he was absolutely incredible!! Walking down the private dock to the boat was pretty sweet!! Shane was very knowledgeable, fun to chat with, knew the waters and his way around the boat for sure. He was very attentive to my mom who has some mild mobility issues, he made sure that my mom was comfortable, helped her out before any of her three sons could and made the whole process very simple. I'm super thankful for Shane and KingTide Charters for taking us out on an awesome adventure!! Everyone on the boat got to reel in a salmon or two and we even took a crab each back to the air bnb for dinner!! 10 out of 10 would recommend KingTide Charters to anyone wanting to go catch some fish out of Sooke!!
Great day of fishing with Captain Cedric (spelling?) he had us on fish immediately and worked his arse off releasing and re-rigging. I highly recommend this company and Capt. Cedric. The guides of course have no control over the fishing, however this young gentleman not only knows what he’s doing but knows where to go. I’m looking forward to next year and my next fishing adventure with King Tide Fishing Charters!!
