Seasonal Highlight

Winter Salmon Fishing

From October to March, winter fishing in Sooke is some of the most consistent of the year. We target aggressive feeder Chinook salmon ranging from 5 to 20 pounds – widely considered some of the finest eating fish on the coast.

The waters are typically calm, the fishing grounds are exceptionally close, and the Dungeness crab harvest is at its absolute peak. Escape the cold in our fully enclosed, heated cabins between bites.

What is the difference between a Half-Day and Full-Day charter?

A Half-Day charter is a 4-to-5 hour sprint focused on a specific tidal window, ideal for Salmon. Morning trips run for 5 hours, while afternoon trips are a fast-paced 4-hour strike. A Full-Day charter is an 8-hour expedition that allows us to travel further offshore to the Halibut grounds and target multiple species in a single trip.

Fishing over several days provides greater flexibility to fish changing conditions, explore different areas, and legally maximize your retention opportunities within daily and possession limits.

Whether you’re planning a dedicated fishing getaway, family vacation, or group adventure, our team will work with you to build a customized itinerary tailored to your goals, schedule, and preferred species.
