Welcome to King Tide Fishing Charters. By booking an expedition with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking and Deposits

To secure a charter date, a 15% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the expedition. We accept all major credit cards and e-transfers. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received and processed.

2. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policies vary slightly depending on the vessel booked:

For the 22′ Boston Whaler and 24′ River Hawk Pro: You may cancel or modify your booking free of charge up to 3 days prior to your trip date.
For the 28′ Northwest: You may cancel or modify your booking free of charge up to 7 days prior to your trip date.

Cancellations made after these deadlines, or failure to show up on the day of the charter, will result in the forfeiture of your deposit (100% of the deposit amount).

3. Weather and Captain’s Discretion

Safety is our absolute priority. The Captain reserves the right to cancel or alter any trip due to unsafe weather, sea conditions, or mechanical issues. If King Tide Charters cancels a trip due to weather or safety concerns prior to departure, you will receive a full refund of your deposit, or the option to reschedule based on availability.

If the Captain determines that weather conditions require returning to the dock early for safety reasons, the charter rate may be prorated at the Captain’s discretion.

4. Fishing Licences and Regulations

All guests participating in fishing must hold a valid British Columbia Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence. It is the responsibility of the guest to purchase this licence (and any necessary salmon conservation stamps) online prior to arriving at the dock. You must have a printed or digital copy with you on the vessel.

All expeditions are conducted in strict accordance with Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) regulations. The Captain has the final say regarding catch limits, size restrictions, and species retention.

5. Liability and Waivers

While we operate Transport Canada certified vessels and maintain the highest safety standards, marine environments present inherent risks. King Tide Charters is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property (including cameras, phones, and clothing) while on board or at our private dock.

6. Conduct and Alcohol

We want everyone to have a great time, but safety comes first. The Captain reserves the right to terminate the charter immediately, without refund, if any guest becomes intoxicated, behaves in an unsafe manner, or fails to follow the Captain’s instructions regarding safety and vessel operation. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited on all vessels.

7. Catch Guarantees

Our Captains utilize elite technology, premium gear, and decades of local knowledge to put you on the fish. However, fishing involves wild animals in a dynamic ocean environment. We guarantee maximum effort, top-tier equipment, and professional execution, but we cannot guarantee the catching of fish.
